December in DC

December 18th, 2010 by kimly

After work yesterday a friend and I walked to the Capitol to see the tree. Wyoming provided it this year. It was an 83 year old 67 foot tall Engelmann Spruce. Not sure how I feel about this tradition; that something so old and stately had to die so the Capitol can look pretty. Seems like a waste.

From the Capitol I took a shot of the Washington Monument. Was a tad pissed at the TV truck that its aerial up and parked smack dab in the middle of the street. So, In Paint Shop Pro I cloned the sky and removed the aerial. Also cropped it to 8×10 and lightened the sky.
